Ring of Fire Celebration

Join us on October 14th to prepare for and experience the Ring of Fire...the annular total solar eclipse that is on a path of totality directly over Texas! This is the second solar eclipse of the year, but the first time it has been a visible "ring of fire" experience in Texas in 83 years! 

We will be gathering in the Yoga Yurt as a community and Liv will guide you to move, breathe, chant, meditate and get super clear and aligned in our hearts and on our paths. Karen Marie will be offering the wisdom the Astrology and meaning of the eclipse energies as well as providing channeled guidance thru her gifts of psychic channeling abilities, mediumship and tarot cards. Then we will step out of the yurt, barefeet on the earth and witness this amazing natural phenomen in some cool-cat eclipse glasses. Once upon a time, the ancients considered eclipses bad omens, the Vedas thought the sun was being swallowed by the moon! I believe these times are auspicious and an opportunity for deep mindfulness, spiritual connection and a realization of our interconnectedness to all life. A time to be in awe & wonder! 

This kind of eclipse is a rare one. But a majestic one too! Totally different from the total eclipse, this one is a subdivision of a fragmented eclipse. You may have heard of the Ring of Fire. Well, that is the Annular Solar eclipse for you. It actually occurs when the Moon goes through the Sun right from the center.

We are currently in the Libra season, which makes this a new moon in the same sign as the sun. The north and south nodes are in the Aries-Libra axis, so this eclipse will also be conjunct the south node of destiny. This eclipse is a great itme to focus on self-empowerment, self-confidence, release of people-pleasing tendencies, acceptance of chaos as a catalyst, and raising your relationship standards. Libra has a tendency to prioritize harmony over all else, so this eclipse asks us to let go of what no longer serves us within our relationships and being okay with the void space that may take place before newer, more aligned relationships arrive.

Solar eclipses are very much associated with self-exploration. After all, the sun oversees core identity and self-image in astrology, while the moon rules emotions and intuition. So when the moon casts its shadow on the sun, you may be driven to reconcile with how you see yourself. In doing so, you might find it's time to choose a new path.

Eclipses can bring great change! This solar eclipse is goiong to be a cycle-breaker - it is going to bring awareness to something you need to break away from, let go of, break ties with, a cycle, habit, pattern, person, you name it - the cycle is done. Being complete and done is a key theme! But this is making space for opportunities, skills, relationships that are underdeveloped that yo uare going to need to strengthen and come into more balance.
